GARFIELD IS THE BOMB!(Or should is the the beef)
It's Garfield, what not to like?
this is a great book

Wonderfully WrittenThis is a book about a kid named Jimmy Carter, who loses his vision when his friend lights a firecracker and it explodes in his face.
The book chronicles Jimmy's schooling at a school for the blind, and his relationship with Leader, his seeing eye dog. The book will also teach your children the value of forgiveness. It will also teach them that, while some things come easy to them, others have to struggle. What this book WON'T teach people is to pity blind poeple. Jimmy is by NO means a weak kid. When you finish reading "Follow My Leader" you will have a new respect for him.
Buy it. It is one memorable book.
A book that lives on and on
"Follow My Leader", the memories come backI never knew who WROTE the book, but from time to time, remembered the story of the blind boy, Jimmy, and his faithful guide dog, whom I now know was named "Leader"...This is the kind of story which can capture a child's imagination, and stay with them for a long time to come. I highly recommend James B. Garfield's "Follow My Leader" (with illustrations by Robert Greiner) to any parent who desires that their child read a book that will inspire a young person to overcome whatever obstacles or challenges which life may deal unto them.
This book touched my life over 33 years ago, and it's lessons of courage, inspiration, faith, and determination to succeed can and will leave a lasting impression in a child or young adult, even in our world of today.

For all you Magic collectors out there, this book is AWESOME
One from the master himself
Great Book if you are a Collector of Magic Cards

Please continue the Series or I'll die!!The author(s) started writing Star Trek books after the last "Galen Sword" book and have seemed to have forgotten this series. :(
So many question left unanswered here.
I encourage everyone who wants another book in this series to write to the authors, via the publisher. And express your desire for another book in this series.
Curious beyond beliefSo I ask simply. Is there a third book? If not published, is there a way to get a copy of the third book? Or at the very least, can someone tell me what is in Australia?
By the way, if you could not guess. I very much enjoyed the books, and found the authors unique vision of the supernatural to be completely entrancing.
Loved it back in 1991; still waiting for the follow-up!

And Now A Few Words From MeI would rate this as a truly terrific book with one major caveat: Skip the Introduction. Seriously. The author takes a little while to warm to his subject, as they say, and is, in the process, so annoying you might be tempted to put the book down (with a resounding thud) forever.
Don't. Because from Chapter one on it just gets better and better. While he primarily focuses on television commercials, most of his trenchant observations apply to all forms of advertising: that rules aren't always 'meant to be broken'; that it's okay to 'borrow' ideas, but never to borrow attention; that having a modicum of good taste is always advisable, especially when it comes to the use of sex in advertising and so forth.
He also has a great chapter that every client should read carefully wherein he spells out the perils that go along with cooking up claims and promises that are only quasi-true (as in legal let them get by) at best.
And his last two chapters are worth the price of admission all by themselves. In the first he succeeds in getting three titans of the advertising universe'Dan Wieden, Jeff Goodby and Phil Dusenberry'to describe in painful detail the worst mistakes in creative judgment they've made over the course of their otherwise brilliant careers. And in the second, he succeeds in doing something many might consider utterly impossible: he actually makes a very well reasoned (and almost moving) case for why advertising isn't the horrible endeavor many of its creators secretly fear.
A jaunty and informative read for anyone in the business. (Except for that 'too clever by half' introduction.)
My Hero!If you're afraid to laugh out loud at other's mistakes, don't read this book.
wildly entertaining and very insightful

Dovermen Of Doom
BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A great book

Yes, Still Missing Logos-But Still Funny.
Here Kitty, Kitty, KittyThis treasury collection also shows the final morphing by creator Jim Davis of Garfield and his friends into what we see today in the comic strips.
Good, good, good

GARFIELD IS FOR THE KID IN ALL OF USLike all Garfield books, each one is just as enjoyable and comical as the last. This one is no exception. What more can one possibly say about this feline wonder, or the book. Garfield is laughable, loveable, zany and his antics can often "make my day." Buy the book, it will warm your heart and bring laughter to your soul...definitely a five-star plus!
A truly great, truly funny comic series
Clone Jim Davis!!We grew up together on Garfield books, and I hope that someday my children will also enjoy them.

PERFECT stocking stuffer. It's rather thick and taller than usual. Plus it's in full color. As long as I can remember I've loved reading Garfield, even when I was a little kid reading the black and white pocket books. So kids will appreciate this too. Trust me.
It opens with 'Garfield's code of Nevers', such as 'Never Eat the Mystery Meat. And ends with 'Garfield's Top Ten Suggestions for New Athletic Events, such as 'The Fridge Lift' and 'Eat till you Explode'. Crammed inbetween are hundreds of hilarious comic strips. Plus there is information on the last page on how to join the Garfield fan club. And why not?
Another laugh riot from Garfield
Garfield, not just another fat cat

A cute little book with Garfield.
A must for Garfield fansI've been a Garfield fan for a number of years now. I greatly enjoyed getting a look into the creative process that gives us such a wonderful daily treat. Any fan of the fat cat will love the book.
A funny look back at great comics, top tens, and charictors.
